1. Where are my books?
You'll find the books you've bought in MY BOOKS.
2. How do I read an eBook?
For eBooks you've purchased or been given, on MY BOOKS, just tap on the cover of the eBook (with the book icon) you want to read. If you've read if here before, it will open at the point you had reached. If it's a new book, it'll open at the beginning.
3. How do I listen to an audiobook?
For audiobooks you've purchased or been given, on MY BOOKS, tap on the cover of an audiobook (with the headphones icon) to start playback of the audiobook.
4. How do I change the appearance of the eBook I'm reading?
When reading an eBook, you can change font size, colours and the font used by tapping in the centre of the page to display the ereader header and footer. Then tap the TT icon in the header to display the settings menu where you can change the brightness, font size, font face and colour options to suit your preferences. Then just tap back in the body of the eBook to save and apply your changes. Your Settings changes will be used for all eBooks until you change them again. (Note that some books don't allow appearance changes.)
5. How do I highlight text in my eBook?
To highlight text, tap and hold the text to be highlighted, and tap HIGHLIGHT on the pop-up that appears near the text. Then tap on the colour to be used for the highlighting. Your highlights will be retained, even if you close and re-open the eBook.
6. How do I add an annotation to my eBook?
To add an annotation, tap and hold the text where you would like to add the annotation, and tap NOTE on the pop-up that appears near the selected text. Then on the Note pop-up, tap below the selected text, enter your annotation, and tap Save. The Note pop-up will close, and you will see the selected text highlighted in grey, and a grey indicator in the margin of the book. If you tap the grey indicator, the Note pop-up will be displayed with your annotations. Your annotations will be retained, even if you close and re-open the eBook.
7. I haven't got much space on my device, how do I delete books I've already downloaded?
On the menu, tap MY DOWNLOADS to go to the manage downloads screen. Here you can select individual books, or every book you've downloaded, and then tap REMOVE DOWNLOADS to delete them and free up space on your device.
8. Can I buy a book from this app?
If this app has the DISCOVER area, this offers a browsing experience where you can explore books that you may want to purchase. To purchase a book, tap the 'Buy' button and you will be able to checkout your title via the Glassboxx checkout which will then be available in your app.
9. I've bought a subscription for audiobooks and/or eBooks, how do I read/listen to my books?
The audiobooks and/or eBooks linked to your subscription package will appear in your MY BOOKS page. Just tap on the cover of an audiobook or eBook to listen or read it. If/when your subscription ends, the audiobooks and/or eBooks linked to it will disappear from MY BOOKS.
10. I've seen a new book that looks good, how do I buy it?
Just tap the BUY button on the book detail page. This will take you back to the vendor of the book where you can buy it. Once you've bought it, come back this app and your new book will be waiting for you in MY BOOKS.
11. I've been given a digital token for an audiobook or eBook, how do I use it to get my book?
Go to https://cart.press.princeton.edu/token and enter the digital token you've been given. After redeeming your token, your book(s) will automatically be added to MY BOOKS in this app.
12. Can I send the audiobooks or eBooks I've bought to someone else?
No, audiobooks and eBook in this app are copy protected, so you won't be able to send them to others, print them or copy them.
13. I've got a new phone/tablet, how do I transfer my books to it?
Just re-download this app from the Google Play store, log in with the email address used when you bought your books, and you'll find them in MY BOOKS.
14. How many phones/tablets can I read/listen to my books on?
You can read/listen to your books on up to 6 devices.
15. Can I read/listen to to my books using other apps or devices?
No, this isn't possible.
16. Can I read/listen to books bought for other apps or devices on this app?
No, this isn't currently possible.
17. How do I cancel a subscription?
To cancel a subscription for audiobooks and eBooks, please just send an email with your name and the subscription you want to cancel to puphelp@glassboxx.com.
18. Is the Android app different to the corresponding iOS app?
There are minor design differences between Android and iOS apps due to the nature of the interfaces. The main difference in user experience between the apps is that the Android app includes links to be able to purchase titles from the DISCOVER area, where the iOS app does not currently. You can still buy books on the publisher‘s website for any devices.
